Nisulfuron is an endogenous and conductive Herbicide, which can be absorbed and quickly conducted by the stems, leaves and roots of plants. By inhibiting the activity of acetyl-lactate synthase in plants, nisulfuron prevents the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids tryptophan, leucine and isoleucine, thereby preventing cell division and stopping the growth of sensitive plants. Symptoms of weed damage include yellowing of the heart leaves, chlorosis, and albinism, followed by yellowing of the other leaves from top to bottom. Generally, the symptoms of weed damage can be seen 3 to 4 days after the application of the medicine. The annual weeds die in 1 to 3 weeks, and the perennial broad-leaved weeds below 6 leaves are inhibited and stop growing, losing the ability to compete with corn. High doses can also kill perennial weeds.
